BYOD- Bring Your Own Device
So your child wants to bring a smart device to school? Why should you entertain this thought?
Below are links and videos to educate you on ways we might use technology in our classroom this year for fourth grade engagement.
Our goal is to engage our learners utilizing the types of technology that typically they use for entertainment. This novelty keeps students interested and can sometimes help to motivate their curiosity and willingness to take ownership of their learning.
We don't have a device to send with our student!
It's ok. We have plenty of student laptops and desktops in our room, too. All students will have some sort of access to technology and will be engaged! It's okay! But if students that have their own devices bring them in, then it allows us to use the small amount of computers we have in our room to help students who don't have devices.
PLEASE DO NOT SEND DEVICES YET! We will send home forms when we are ready to roll this out with the students. Mrs. Bagwell just wants you to be ahead of the game and educated before your students! An agreement form will be sent home for you to sign when we are ready to roll out BYOD!
